CODE OF CONDUCT

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS

Students are the human resources of the future, and the college values them immensely. There are a number of facilities other than academic that the college provides to them. Students are encouraged to avail these facilities as and when necessary. Also, students are expected to be decent and gentle in their behavior and abide by the rules and guidelines of the College. Feedback and close proximity of students with teachers are encouraged to create a learner-friendly atmosphere. Guardians are welcome to meet teachers and the principal with appointments to apprise themselves of the progress of their wards. Students are advised to go through this document carefully for a host of relevant information and College Rules. Some outlines are described below to serve as a guideline.

1. WORKING HOURS

College uniform and Practical kit is available in College store. (Contact person: Mr. Bharat Patil)

3. ATTENDANCE

  • A student must attend at least 75 percent of the classes held during the course of the study to be eligible for appearing examinations (DBATU, Lonere& MSBTE, Mumbai).
  • Students remaining absent without leave or prior permission will not be entertained for lecture and practical without permission of local guardian teacher, class incharge and academic incharge.
  • Students have to take prior permission for leave from class incharge& Local guardian teacher.
  • Each student admitted to the College must fulfill the minimum attendance requirements failing which the College shall have the right to take necessary action.

Note: Leave taken by student will not be considered for attendance. Only presence of candidate in lecture and practical is considered for attendance calculation.

4. NOTICE BOARD

Students must see the College Notice Board regularly and comply, failing which the College shall not be responsible for any inconvenience caused to them.

5. IDENTITY CARD

The College issues Identity Card to each student after admission. The students have to bring their Identity Cards with them to the College and produce their Identity Cards if and when necessary. These ID cards are used to open entry barricades. A student may be barred if he/she cannot produce Identity Card on demand. Loss of Identity Card must be reported immediately to the office and will be replaced only on payment of the relevant fine. Misuse of Identity Card is liable to be penalized. Identity Card must be returned after completion of the course to which the candidate is admitted.

6. RAGGING

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within and outside the college premises. Participating and/or abetting ragging, violating may invite possible penal action. Details are given in college prospectus, UGC website.

7. LIBRARY

Students can access the College Library and Reading Room for text and reference books, journals and career-related publications. A student can borrow books from the library on production of his/her library card, which is issued to the student from the library after admission

8. SPORTS

The College has sports facilities both in-house and outdoors. Outdoor facilities may be availed by contacting the Sports inchargeDr. Kiran Patil,of the College which looks after the overall progress of students in this area. The College also holds an Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony where various events are held students showing proficiency are rewarded with prizes, medals and certificates.

9. OBSERVANCES

The College observes the Independence Day (15 August) and Republic Day (26 January),students should participate in the programme and observe the day in true National spirit with the need for integrity of the nation.

Participating in Blood Donation,Tree plantation, Swachh Dhule Abhiyan, National Pharmacy Week Celebrations,and other social responsibilities.

10. COMPLAINTS

Complaints regarding ragging or violation of other disciplinary rules should be brought to the notice of the Principal immediately. The College also has Anti-Ragging Committee and Grievance Redressal Committee which may be approached in case of any grievances or complaints.

11. WARNING

MobilePhones, Chewing Tobacco and Cigarette Smoking are strictly prohibited in college premises& in campus. If any student found, a strict action will be taken against him/ her and/or penalized. Students should comply the rules and regulations of the institute & SVKM trust.

12. PUNISHMENT AGAINST VIOLATION/DAMAGE OF THE INSTITUTE PROPERTY

  1. The students should NOT involve in any such activity which may cause damage to the property like Fire-Switches, Sanitization Equipment, Washroom Basin Taps, Doors, Entry Barricades, Electricity and AC Switches, Smart-Boards, Mirrors, Laboratory Stools, Chairs, Cupboards, Equipment’s, Lift etc. of the institute.
  2. It will be inspected seriously and strict action will be taken. It is likely to result in the recovery of the cost of damage/replacement.
  3. Any misbehavior or violation of institute discipline will be dealt by the disciplinary committee and corrective action will be taken. In extreme cases parents will be called in to discuss the students’behavior and may lead to suspension or expulsion from the institute.

Students are bounded by rules and regulations framed by the college from time to time. Any violation of the rules shall result in disciplinary action which may lead to dismissal from the college.
